Everyone gets a spiral sketchbook, a marker and a secret word. You draw the word in the first space, pass the book to your neighbour, and they write what they think the drawing shows, then pass it on for the next person to draw that guess. Books go round until they come home, then each is opened page by page and the room finds out how a camel became a sofa. Scoring exists, but hardly anyone bothers. This is drawing for people who cannot draw; the worse the sketch, the better the reveal. It seats four to eight, takes thirty minutes and works in any language, since the words on the cards are only the starting point. We rate it alongside Codenames as one of the safest party games for a mixed group, including colleagues wary of games. If your regular crowd is bigger than eight, buy the 12 Player Party Pack instead.
