Concept

The board is a sheet of icons: a person, a liquid, a colour wheel, an animal and a hundred more. Two neighbours pick a word or phrase from a card and place a question-mark token on the icon that best captures the main idea, then add cubes to other icons to narrow it down. For "milk" that might be the question mark on liquid, a white cube on the colour icon, and a cube on food and drink. Nobody speaks; the table shouts guesses until someone gets it. The guesser scores, the clue-giving pair scores, and most groups forget to count after the second round. It is charades for people who hate charades, and it scales to a dozen without anyone waiting long. We suggest it for mixed groups, for families with teenagers, and for corporate sessions where a few people are shy: pointing at pictures is easier than performing.
