Tapple (Arabic)

A round wheel of letter keys sits in the middle. Someone reads a category card, say things in a kitchen, and hits the timer. You have ten seconds to say an answer, press its first letter and pass the wheel on. The next player needs a new answer starting with a letter that has not been pushed down yet. Hesitate past the buzzer and you are out for the round; the last person standing keeps the category card, and most cards at the end wins. It is a word game with an object to slap, louder and more forgiving than pen and paper, and the buzzer referees. This is the Arabic-language edition: the letter keys and the category cards are in Arabic, which is what makes it work at a table where grandparents and children play together and not everyone reads English. Five or six players keeps the pace up.
