Stella: Dixit Universe

Fifteen Dixit picture cards are laid out in a grid and a single clue word is read aloud. Each of you privately marks on your slate which pictures you think fit the word, choosing as many or as few as you dare. Then you reveal one by one: every picture you share with someone else scores, but pick a picture that nobody else chose and you fall, losing part of the round's haul. After four rounds the highest total wins. The interesting part is the fall itself; you reveal your picks in turn and can stop before you take the risk, so it turns into a small push-your-luck game. If your group likes Dixit but wants something quicker and more competitive, this is the one to try, with no storyteller's anxiety since everyone answers the same clue. Five is the best count; thirty minutes with newcomers.
