Slide Quest

You are steering a knight through a kingdom full of holes: a wooden figure on a ball inside a tilting board. Each player holds one of four levers, and together you tip the board to roll him along the level's path to the exit without falling. Lose all your lives and you restart; clear all twenty levels and the kingdom is saved. There are no turns. Everyone pushes and lifts at the same time, so the game is really about talking: a little more on your side, hold, now down. Later levels add obstacles you place yourself, which is where the shouting starts. This is a kids' game that adults borrow constantly. It is one of our favourites for a family with a seven-year-old, and it works surprisingly well as a five-minute corporate warm-up, because four people have to coordinate and nobody can do it alone.
