Hanabi

You are launching a fireworks show together, building five piles of cards, one per colour, from 1 to 5. The catch: you hold your cards facing away, so everyone can see your hand except you. The show ends when the deck runs out or after three mistakes, and you score the total height of the piles. A turn is one of three things. Spend a clue token to point at every card of one colour or number in a teammate's hand, saying nothing else. Discard a card to earn a token back. Or play a card and hope you remembered the hint correctly. This is one of the quietest tables at Never Board, all raised eyebrows and long pauses. We recommend it to groups who liked The Mind and want the next step in trusting each other. Four is ideal; at two it is a puzzle, not a conversation.
