Century: Golem Edition

You lead a caravan trading crystals of four colours, from cheap yellow up to precious pink, and spend them to claim golem cards worth points. When one player takes their fifth golem, the round finishes and the highest total wins. Each turn is one of four actions. Take a market card, paying a crystal onto every card you skip to reach it. Play a card to gain crystals, upgrade some, or convert one set into another. Hand in the exact crystals a golem asks for and take it. Or rest, picking up every card you have played. This is one of the lighter Strategy-style titles on our shelves and among the easiest to teach to a table new to engine games. Turns are quick, a game fits in half an hour, and it plays well at any count.
