Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra

You are a glazier filling the windows of a palace with panes of coloured glass. Your board holds eight windows, each with its own colour pattern, and completing a strip scores it and flips it to reveal a second pattern. The game lasts six rounds, and the highest total wins. Drafting works as in Azul: take every pane of one colour from a factory display and push the rest to the centre. Placing is where it differs. A wooden glazier stands over one of your windows, and you may only fill that window or one to his right; walking him back costs a turn. This is a step up from the original in weight, with more to think about each turn. It is our pick for a group that knows Azul and wants a second box, not a reskin. Three is the sweet spot.
