Azul Mini

You are laying coloured tiles onto a palace wall, exactly as in Azul, but from a box small enough for a bag. Each row of the five-by-five wall wants one tile of each colour, and the game ends after someone completes a row. Each turn you take every tile of one colour from a factory display, sweeping leftovers to the centre, or take a colour from there. The tiles fill a pattern line; a completed line places one tile on the wall at round end, and overflow goes to the floor for a penalty. The pieces are smaller; the rules are not. This is the one to take to a hotel room or a coffee shop. It plays as well at two as the big version. If you own Azul you do not need it; if you have been borrowing our copy, this is the cheaper way in.
