Ticket to Ride: Europe

You collect coloured train cards and spend them to claim railway routes across Europe. Secret ticket cards name pairs of cities, and linking them with an unbroken line of your trains earns the big points. The game ends when someone is down to two trains; completed tickets score, unfinished ones cost you. Your turn is one thing: draw two train cards, play a matching set to claim a route, or draw new tickets. This map adds three wrinkles. Tunnels may demand extra cards, ferries need locomotive cards, and stations let you borrow a rival's route when boxed out. It teaches in five minutes and most of our members played it first, so it is a safe pick for a family or a table of newcomers. We prefer this map to the American one: the stations soften the blocking, so one lost route never ruins an evening.
