Four factions fight over a woodland, and each plays a different game. The Marquise de Cat builds and industrialises; the Eyrie birds follow a rigid programme of decrees that grows every turn and collapses if it cannot be obeyed; the Woodland Alliance spreads sympathy and revolts; the Vagabond wanders alone, doing favours and picking fights. First to 30 points wins, unless a faction switches to a card that changes its win condition.
Turns run through a shared deck of cards used for crafting, recruiting and paying for actions, plus a map of clearings and paths you fight over with dice. Warriors, buildings and tokens sit in those clearings.
It is one of the heaviest games on our Strategy shelf, and the asymmetry means everyone's first game is a lesson. Bring four players who will commit to two plays, and it becomes the game the table talks about for weeks.
