Ring-a-Ding

A bell sits in the middle of the table and the fruit cards are split evenly between everyone. On your turn you flip the top card of your pile face up in front of you, and the moment exactly five of one fruit are showing across all the face-up piles, anyone may slap the bell. Ring first and you take every face-up card into your pile. Ring by mistake and you hand one card to each other player. Run out of cards and you are out; the last two play until the bell rings once more, and the taller pile wins. There is nothing to learn beyond counting to five, which makes it our go-to for children of six and up and for an adult table that needs waking up between two heavier games. Ten minutes a round, loud, and the adults are not reliably better than the kids.
