Kluster

A loop of cord lies on the table and each player holds a share of the magnetic stones. On your turn you place one stone anywhere inside the cord. If any stones snap together as you set it down, you take the whole cluster. The first player to place their last stone wins. That is the entire rulebook, and the game is in how quickly the space inside the cord fills up. Early turns are easy; later ones mean lowering a magnet into a gap you can barely see with a steady hand and a held breath. Thirty seconds to teach, ten minutes to play, and it fits in a pocket. We use it as a filler while the main game is being set up, as a two-player game at the café, and as a corporate ice-breaker, since nobody needs to speak.
