Wingspan – Oceania Expansion

This second expansion needs Wingspan, or Wingspan Asia. It brings 95 birds from Australia and New Zealand, new bonus cards and end-of-round goals, a new egg colour, and, most importantly, a new food: nectar. The box replaces your player mat with a version that handles nectar, and adds a two-player cooperative variant built from the solo rules, so a pair can face the Automa together. Nectar acts as a wild food when you pay for birds, but any left at the end of a round is lost, and nectar spent in each habitat is tracked; whoever has spent the most in a habitat at the end scores a bonus. Of all the expansions this one changes the feel of the base game most, and many regulars play with the Oceania mats permanently. Buy it if you have played twenty games and want a richer engine, or to play Wingspan cooperatively.
