You are trying to crack a three-digit code before anyone else at the table. Each digit runs from 1 to 5, and the only way to learn anything is to question the machine: a set of verifier cards, each guarding one secret rule. The first player to write down the correct code wins. On your turn you propose a code by stacking three punched cards, then hold the stack against up to three verifiers. Each answers only yes or no, telling you whether your proposal satisfies its hidden rule. You note the answers and narrow the possibilities. No electricity, no app, just cardboard and logic. This is the deduction game we hand to people who liked Mastermind and want something with real teeth. It works as a race, as a team puzzle or alone, and every problem card gives a fresh code. It demands full concentration for its twenty minutes.
