Sky Team – Turbulence

This expansion needs Sky Team, the two-player cooperative game in which you and a partner land a plane as pilot and co-pilot without speaking. It adds twenty new approaches to airports such as Beijing, Madrid and Sydney, and new modules that make them harder: turbulence that shoves the plane about, low visibility, and alarms that must be handled first. Each round you both roll four dice behind screens, then take turns placing them on the cockpit board to control the axis, engines, flaps, landing gear and brakes. The new modules add spaces you must also cover, so dice you counted on for the engines get pulled elsewhere. The base game is one of the best two-player cooperative games we know, and Turbulence is for pairs who have landed every airport in the box. Buy it when you crave harder landings, not before you have failed Montreal a few times.
