Point Salad

Every card is a vegetable on one side and a scoring rule on the other. You draft from a market: either one point card, which sets a rule such as 2 points per carrot and minus 1 per onion, or two vegetable cards from the ones revealed beneath the piles. When the cards run out you add up your vegetables against your own scoring rules, and the highest total wins. The rules take a minute, and the whole game is watching what your neighbours are collecting and taking the rule that suits your pile before they do. It is one of the lightest Card Games on our shelves and plays anywhere from two to six at the same pace. We would recommend it as a first proper game for a family, a starter for a game night, or a quick café game while waiting for a table.
