Munchkin Deluxe

You are a dungeon adventurer at level 1, and the first to reach level 10 wins. You climb by killing monsters, or by cards that simply hand you levels. Door cards hold monsters and curses; Treasure cards hold the gear that makes you stronger. Your turn starts by kicking down the door: flip a Door card. If it is a monster, compare your level plus gear against its level. Anyone can help you for a share of the treasure, or make the monster stronger. Win and you level up and draw treasure; fail to run away and something bad happens. A long, silly card game, not a strategy game: the cards are Dungeons & Dragons jokes, and the fun is ganging up on whoever is about to win. It suits friends who enjoy trash-talk and do not mind kingmaking, not a serious group. Plays best at four.
