Happy Mochi

The goal is to get rid of your cards before anyone else. Every play is a pair of cards, and the order you were dealt is the order you keep, so which pairs you can make depends on where the cards sit. Each pair has to follow value rules that limit what you can put down, unless the two cards match, in which case you call Happy Mochi and ignore all the rules. Special cards and colour matches add a couple of small twists. It is a small deck with cute artwork, quick to explain and quick to finish, closer in weight to UNO than to anything else in this section. A good fit for a family with children from about eight, or as a filler between longer games. The hand-order rule gives it a little more thought than most shedding games.
